Chapter 42

We are the Northern New York/Finger Lakes region chapter of Little People of America.  The Finger Lakes consist of 14 counties/cities:  Cayuga (Auburn), Chemung (Elmira), Cortland (Cortland), Livingston (Geneseo), Monroe (Rochester), Onondaga (Syracuse), Ontario (Canandaigua), Schuyler (Watkins Glen), Seneca (Waterloo), Steuben (Corning), Tioga (Owego), Tompkins (Ithaca), Wayne (Sodus), and Yates (Penn Yan).  Our this extends our boundaries west to Buffalo, south to the Southern Tier, east to Syracuse and north to Oswego.  Chapter meetings are usually held in the spring and summer months.

The FingerPrint, our newsletter, comes about about a month prior to meetings or if there is a special event with short notice, a flyer will be sent out either via email or snail mail.

What We Do

Little People of America is an organization to help people of short stature gain medical advice, a support structure and a bevy of new friends.  This is done with the help of our National office at 1-888-LPA-2001 or 1-888-572-2001 and lpaonline.org

LPA holds a conference in the summer every year, usually with sporting events as well.  It's in a different state each time, Detroit this year, Brooklyn next year and Nashville in 2010.  The organization is also broken down into regional districts.  Our district is District 2, covering New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  The District hosts 2 regional conferences per year, one in the spring and one in the fall.
